Ram Rahim, imprisoned in Haryana’s Sunaria Jail, has now increased his distance from his family. His mouth-spoken daughter Honeypreet is slowly becoming omniscient. This can be gauged from the fact that Ram Rahim has neither registered the name of his wife Harjeet Kaur nor that of his mother Naseeb Kaur in his family ID, but Honeypreet’s name is inscribed.
Honeypreet has been described as the main disciple of Ram Rahim and daughter of Dharma in the ID made during his stay in Baghpat Ashram in UP. Ram Rahim has got the name of his father and mother in the column named Disciple and Gaddinsheen Shah Satnam Singh Maharaj, while in the column named Honeypreet’s father and mother, the main disciple and daughter of Dharma Sant Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Insa has been recorded.
Ram Rahim’s age is 54 years, annual income in lakhs
Ram Rahim and Honeypreet have shown their annual income in lakhs of rupees. Ram Rahim’s age is 54 years and Honeypreet’s 41 years in this family ID. However, the Dera management has been denying Honeypreet’s monopoly. Honeypreet’s real name is Priyanka Taneja and is a resident of Fatehabad. She was married to Dera follower Vishwas Gupta, but after controversies, Vishwas got divorced from Honeypreet.
Changes were also done in Aadhar card
During the parole of 30 days, Ram Rahim had also updated his Aadhar card in Baghpat Ashram, in which Ram Rahim got the disciple and Gaddinshin Shah Satnam Ji Maharaj written in front of his father’s name, whereas on the first Ram Rahim’s Aadhar card his Father Maggar Singh’s name was Ankit. A copy of this Aadhaar card was uploaded on the Faith Versus Verdic page run by a section of Dera followers. Also, it has been claimed on his behalf that earlier Dera Mukhi had got the address Shah Satnam Dham written in his Aadhar card, which has now been changed to Shah Mastan, Shah Satnam Dham. Update in Aadhar card was done on June 22.
Ram Rahim’s family has gone abroad
Ram Rahim’s entire family has settled abroad. Ram Rahim’s two daughters Amarpreet and Charanpreet Kaur and son Jasmeet have settled in London along with the family. However, Derapramukh’s mother Naseeb Kaur and wife Harjit Kaur will remain in India. Ram Rahim’s two daughters Amarpreet and Charanpreet had already gone to London. On 26 September, son Jasmeet also went to London with the family.
Controversy with Honeypreet, reason for family going abroad
The reason for the settling of Ram Rahim’s family abroad is due to differences of family members with Honeypreet. Some time back the family also issued a letter to the followers. It was said that money is being collected in his name for Parmarth (the donation to be raised in Dera Sacha Sauda). The family had urged in the letter that if anyone is collecting donations in the name of the family, then its information should be given to the family. Ram Rahim’s family had issued such a letter to his followers for the first time after his conviction in 2016. According to the family, the misuse of his name must stop.
Now Honeypreet’s monopoly on the camp
Honeypreet has had differences with Ram Rahim’s family in the past as well. Dera chief Ram Rahim himself has given an explanation regarding the solidarity between the family and Honeypreet in his 9th letter issued from the jail. In 2016, Honeypreet was with her when the Dera chief was sentenced to life imprisonment in the Sadhvi sexual abuse case. Honeypreet also went to jail in Panchkula violence case. Recently, when Ram Rahim reached Baghpat’s ashram after getting parole and went live in front of lovers from there, Honeypreet was with him.
Property worth crores near Dera
The properties of Dera Sacha Sauda worth billions of rupees are in the name of the trust. There is about 900 acres of land near the dera in Sirsa itself. Apart from this, urban properties and residential rooms are different throughout the country. After the conviction of Ram Rahim, the sons, daughters and son-in-law of the Dera chief had no responsibility.
On May 18, the eldest daughter went abroad
Ram Rahim’s elder daughter Amarpreet and son-in-law had gone abroad on 18 May 2020. Amarpreet, who reached London after leaving the dera, expressed grief over leaving the house in her message from there. Amarpreet also shared a video, in which the entire family is seen emotional as they leave the house. The pain was expressed through Punjabi songs in the video. Dera chief’s mother Naseeb Kaur, wife, son Jasmeet, daughter-in-law Husnmeet and other members were bidding farewell to Amarpreet with moist eyes as they parted ways. During this, Honeypreet or any member of Dera management was not present there. It is clear from this that his relationship with the family is not good.
Differences exposed by the ninth letter of Dera chief
On March 28, Ram Rahim sent the 9th letter from jail to the lovers. For the first time amidst discussions of differences, the Dera chief mentioned about the family members and Honeypreet. This led to an attempt to put an end to the talk of bitterness in family relationships. It was said that his family is now going to settle abroad. Mother Naseeb Kaur and wife Harjeet Kaur will also be abroad. PR Nain is made the new chairperson in place of Vipassana Insa. There was also talk of some changes in Dera management in the letter. Honeypreet’s supporters were given new responsibility.
Dera chief said, the family took orders from us
Giving a message to the Dera lovers through a letter, the Dera chief wrote that all our sevadars, admin block sevadars, Jasmeet, Charanpreet, Honeypreet, Amarpreet are all one and follow our words. All four came to drop us at Rohtak together and all four went back together. Jasmeet, Charanpreet and Amarpreet have taken permission from us that they will go abroad with their children to teach them to get ‘higher education’.
