Himachal on alert regarding Amritpal Singh: patrolling increased along the border with Punjab; Khalistan supporters have put flags on the assembly gate

Himachal Police is also on alert to catch Khalistan supporter Amritpal Singh. For this, patrolling has been increased on the borders with Punjab. According to sources, the Punjab Police is in constant touch with the Himachal Police.

Una police blockade late night
In view of the action being taken by the Punjab Police against Khalistan supporter Amritpal Singh, the Himachal Pradesh government has issued an alert to all the district administrations. The state police has become alert on the borders of Himachal with Punjab.

The Punjab Police caught Amritpal’s supporters by conducting raids across the state, but Amritpal escaped by dodging the police, for whose arrest the police raid is on.

Suspicious vehicles are being checked at every naka. The police of Una district adjoining Nangal have also put up blockades at various places. Police is ready at Bathari, Marwari, Santoshgarh, Maihatpur on the Himachal-Punjab border.

Security increased at the entrance of Kandwal
Vigil has been beefed up at Kandwal, the gateway to Punjab’s Pathankot. Every small and big vehicle entering the state is being checked. The borders with Punjab have been sealed.

Although, no violent activities have taken place in Himachal in the last 24 hours, but despite this the police do not want to take any laxity.

Flags were placed at the Himachal assembly gate
Some Khalistani supporters had hoisted flags outside the Tapovan assembly gate in Dharamshala, Himachal, after which the Himachal police increased vigil on the border area. Even after the recent Manikarna violence, some Khalistanis had put flags on their bikes.
