Corona cases are increasing continuously in the national capital Delhi. Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said on Monday that in view of the increasing infection, it has been decided to send all active cases for genome sequencing. He said that the system of home isolation is being improved further.

Kejriwal said, ‘99% of the people in Delhi have been given the first dose. 70% of the people have had both the doses. Those who have had both doses need a booster dose. Delhi government is ready to fight Omicron. There is an appeal to the Central Government to approve the booster dose.

Free ration extended for another 6 months
The Delhi cabinet has decided that the free ration available during the Corona period should be extended for another 6 months. Now ration will be given till 31st May. CM Kejriwal told that it has been decided in the meeting that Delhi Teachers University will be formed in which good and new generation teachers will be prepared. Its bill will be passed. Admission will start in 2022-23.

Case and positivity rate in Delhi highest in 6 months
107 corona cases were registered in Delhi on Sunday. For the first time in six months, the maximum number of cases have been found in a single day. Earlier, 115 cases were registered in Delhi on June 25, which was the highest in a single day. The test positivity rate in Delhi also stood at 0.17% on Sunday, which is the highest in six months. By the end of November, about 30-40 cases were being registered daily in Delhi. However, in the last one week, both the case and the positivity rate are increasing here.

2 new cases of Omicron found in Delhi
At the same time, 2 new cases of Omicron have been found in Delhi today. Here now the total number of Omicron infected has gone up to 24. The Health Department said that 12 people have been discharged and treatment of 12 is still going on. 4 new cases of Omicron have also been found in Kerala. Now the total number of Omicron infected in the country has increased to 166.
