Can the Roy family win another high-stakes contest with brutal rivals?

HBO’s narrating drama “Succession” earned 25 nominations for the 74th Annual Emmy Awards on Tuesday, the most of any series. it’s getting lost NetflixThe category for Best Drama Series includes “Squid Game” and “Stranger Things”.

AppleTV+’s “Ted Lasso” and HBO’s “The White Lotus” each received 20 nominations. HBO Max’s “Hacks” and Hulu’s “Only Murders in the Building”—with 17 nominations each—and HBO’s “Euphoria,” which grabbed 16.

Winners will be announced on Monday, September 12th at 8 p.m. NBC and streamed live on the network’s streaming service Peacock. The ceremony usually airs on Sundays, but NBC also has broadcast rights for National Football League games on Sunday nights.

“Television continues to entertain, inform and engage the world,” Frank Sherma, president and CEO of the Television Academy, said in a statement. “With production at a historic high, the Academy has received a record number of Emmy submissions this season.”

On this year’s ballot including the late Chadwick Boseman (“What If…?”), Jennifer Coolidge (“White Lotus”), Elle Fanning (“The Great”), Andrew Garfield (“What If…?”) 50 artists are nominated for the first time. Under the Banner of Heaven”) and Jang Ho-yeon (“Squid Game”).

The Television Academy did not split the awards by network this year. Last year, there was some mild controversy about how nominations were counted, as many networks also have streaming services. While it seemed fitting to mix network shows and streaming shows from the same company together, some in the industry felt that they should be considered separate distributors.
