The case is of Salempur village of Barauli, located about 35 km from Gopalganj. Akash, son of Janardan Prasad and Sindhu Devi here, had high fever at the age of 4. The poor family did not have enough money to take care of their child. Despite this, somehow he tried to treat the child according to his ability, but it did not prove to be effective. This made the child mentally weak. From then till today this child is kept tied to a tree.
