Four died on Tuesday
On Tuesday, a small river passing through a village in Manavadar taluka of Junagadh district was in spate following unseasonal rains. Meanwhile, a loading auto carrying 12 agricultural laborers was washed away while crossing the river in the evening. Local fire brigade and villagers rescued nine people, while three women could not be traced at that time. Their bodies were recovered from the river on Wednesday. The three women have been identified as Shantaben Rathod (40), Bhartiben Solanki (40) and their daughter Sanjana Solanki (18).

Chance of rain for next 7 to 8 days
Due to the effect of Western Disturbance, conditions of rain have been created in the state including Ahmedabad in the last week of April. There will be a possibility of rain for the next 7 to 8 days. Not only this, the maximum temperature of most parts of the state is likely to be 2.0 degrees below normal throughout May. In such a situation, a normal decline will be seen in summer.
