Apart from Kutch, Jamnagar, Junagadh, Dahod, Valsad and Aravalli districts also received heavy rains, causing many local rivers of Aravalli to swell. There is an atmosphere of concern among the farmers due to the damage to the crop of mango and moong dal.

Apart from the rain, there is news of a lot of economic loss due to strong winds. It rained heavily in Nakhatrana on Thursday afternoon. 2 inches of rain has been recorded for one hour continuously. Electric wires fell in many places. Traffic was disrupted on the Bhuj-Lakhpat road. Rivers are also in spate in Mandvi taluka.

Four died on Tuesday
On Tuesday, a small river passing through a village in Manavadar taluka of Junagadh district was in spate following unseasonal rains. Meanwhile, a loading auto carrying 12 agricultural laborers was washed away while crossing the river in the evening. Local fire brigade and villagers rescued nine people, while three women could not be traced at that time. Their bodies were recovered from the river on Wednesday. The three women have been identified as Shantaben Rathod (40), Bhartiben Solanki (40) and their daughter Sanjana Solanki (18).

In Manavadar, an auto full of laborers was swept away in the river, in which three women laborers died.

Chance of rain for next 7 to 8 days
Due to the effect of Western Disturbance, conditions of rain have been created in the state including Ahmedabad in the last week of April. There will be a possibility of rain for the next 7 to 8 days. Not only this, the maximum temperature of most parts of the state is likely to be 2.0 degrees below normal throughout May. In such a situation, a normal decline will be seen in summer.

The normal temperature of May is recorded around 41 to 42 degrees. But the currently active Western Disturbance (Western Disturbance) around Pakistan has turned into a cyclonic circulation, due to which the entire state is likely to receive rain for the next 7 to 8 days.
