The Delhi High Court on Monday summoned Congress leaders Jairam Ramesh, Pawan Khera and Netta D’Souza in the Goa bar case. The court said that without checking the facts, the Congress leaders made statements. This caused damage to Union Minister Smriti Irani, her daughter Joish Irani and family.

Congress leaders had alleged that Smriti’s daughter has a bar in Goa. Its license is invalid. After these allegations, Smriti filed a defamation case of Rs 2 crore in the Delhi High Court.

The Delhi High Court said that neither the land nor the restaurant belongs to Smriti and her daughter. These people had never applied for a license. Rhetoric was made against him to tarnish the image of Smriti. These comments were made intentionally.
