HC: Allegations of irregularities in the recruitment of staff in the court, directing CID investigation

বারThere are allegations of illegal recruitment within the boundaries of the court itself, not with the appointment of SSC or Primary. It has been alleged that the rules were not followed in the recruitment of staff in the West Burdwan District Court. The High Court has directed a CID probe into the case.

Recently, a case was filed in the West Burdwan District Court in the court of Justice Shampa Sarkar of the Calcutta High Court alleging irregularities in the recruitment of staff. He directed a CID probe. In this context, the judge said, when the question arises about the appointment of the lower court, it needs to be investigated. Within a week, a special investigation team led by the IG of CID will have to be formed. The Special Investigation Team will have to submit its report to the court by June 28.

It is learned that on February 21, 2019, a notification was issued in the district court regarding the recruitment of staff. There was talk of recruiting staff through examinations. But after two years, the test was not done. Then on February 20, 2022, many candidates sat for the exam by showing fake documents. There are irregularities in recruitment. Despite informing the police, no action was taken.
