Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar gave information about the International Gita Mahotsav.

This time Haryana has started preparations for the seventh edition of the International Gita Mahotsav. Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar gave information regarding the organization of the festival. He told that the President of the country Draupadi will inaugurate the Murmu Festival. On December 4, 18000 students will collectively recite Shrimad Bhagwat Geeta. 75000 students and lakhs of devotees will join the festival online.

Started celebrating from 2016

CM Manohar Lal Khattar said that from the year 2016, Gita Mahotsav was started at the international level. After this, International Geeta Mahotsav was celebrated in Mauritius in 2019 and Canada in London in September this year. The CM said that in 2014, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had inspired to take it to the international level.

Will be organized from 19 November to 6 December

Chief Minister Manohar Lal told that this festival will be celebrated from November 19 to December 6 in the Amrit Mahotsav of Independence. Crafts and Saras fair will be organized at Brahma Sarovar from 19th November. Along with this, these programs will be organized under the aegis of KDB and Haryana Government. Shri Ram Katha will be organized by Saint Murari Bapu.

President will come on November 29

The country’s President Draupadi Murmu will reach Chandigarh on November 29 to formally launch the festival. The CM said that this would be the first visit of the President to Haryana. She said that though she has come to Chandigarh before, coming to Chandigarh is a different matter.

Nepal becomes country partner

CM Manohar informed that Nepal will be included as country partner in this festival and Madhya Pradesh will participate as partner state. He told that from November 19 to December 6, there will be a grand musical aarti in Bhajan Sandhya. Online Gita Quiz Competition will be held from 1st November.

Ambassadors of three countries will be included

The Chief Minister informed that ambassadors of countries like Azerbaijan, Ethiopia, Vietnam etc. will attend the program. Along with this, people from more than 25 countries are connected to this program through social media. More than 400000 people have registered so far on the page of the government’s website.
