The Jail Minister was addressing the jail inmates on Wednesday as the chief guest in a three-day spiritual program at Sirsa Jail. The meal timings that have been going on since the British times will also be changed. In summer, the time of eating will be kept from 7 to 8 pm, while in winter it will be kept from 6 to 7 pm. He said that as a pilot project in the state, in the first phase, petrol pumps would be opened in 11 jails of the state.

Petrol pump has been started in Kurukshetra Jail. Good results have come from Kurukshetra Jail Petrol Pump, where every day sale of Rs 10 to 15 lakhs is taking place. The petrol pump is being operated by the prisoners. Petrol pump will also be opened in Sirsa jail, for this he asked the jail superintendent to make a proposal and send it.

Jail superintendents will also get uniform and vehicle arrangement
Jail Minister Ranjit Singh said that jail superintendents will also be given uniform soon. Along with this, arrangements for vehicles will also be made for the jail superintendents. He said that any prisoner can give his suggestions for the work being done in the direction of prison reforms. Any good suggestions will definitely be taken.
