Gujarat: PM Modi Visits Ambaji Temple, Performs ‘Maha Aarti’ At Gabbar Tirth. Watch Video

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited the famous Ambaji temple in Gujarat’s Banaskantha district and offered prayers at the shrine on Friday.

According to a report by news agency PTI, hundreds of devotees greeted the prime minister, who was accompanied by Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw and state BJP chief CR Paatil.

PM Modi also performed ‘maha aarti’ at the nearby Gabbar Tirth and watched a laser show, where an image of the Goddess was projected on the Gabbar Hill near the temple.

It is to be noted that Shri Arasuri Mata Mandir in Ambaji town, known as a Shaktipeeth, attracts lakhs of devotees every year. Gabbar Tirth is one of the 51 famous ancient ‘pauranik shakti peethas’ revered by the Hindus.

Earlier, PM Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone and dedicated various projects worth over Rs 7,200 crore in Ambaji.

The events in Ambaji include laying the foundation stone of over 45,000 houses built under the PM Awas Yojana.

On the second day of his Gujarat visit, PM Modi flagged off the high-speed Gandhinagar-Mumbai Vande Bharat Express train and launched the first phase of Ahmedabad Metro rail project.

Earlier in the day, zeal and fervour gripped the streets of Ambaji in Gujarat when PM Narendra Modi held a roadshow. Thousands of people thronged the area as they raised slogans.

PM Modi’s convoy was welcomed with flower petals that were showered on his car.

While he was travelling to Gandhinagar from Ahmedabad earlier in the day, PM Narendra Modi’s convoy made way for an ambulance. The car trails stopped in alignment on one side of the road for an easy passage of the ambulance.
