GTA: In the GTA election, Bimal is trying to stay afloat with other candidates

Bimal Gurung’s Gorkha Janmukti Morcha had objected to the GTA election from the very beginning. Bimal Gurung also went on a hunger strike demanding postponement of GTA elections. He then fell ill and was admitted to a hospital in Sikkim. However, in reality, it is seen that the Morcha has fielded candidates as independent candidates in the GTA elections.

Their argument is that this initiative is to prevent opponents from getting a walkover. However, according to informed sources, the front actually gave big rice at the last moment. Besides, Bimal is trying his best to stay afloat in the politics of the mountains in front of Mamata’s unwavering attitude. The GTA election will be held on June 26.

According to political observers, the soil in the mountains has now been removed from under the feet of the front. Realizing that the election would not be postponed, Bimal was forced to take a detour in that election. In that case, the danger will increase if the candidates are fielded under the name of Morcha. On the other hand, if they stand as non-partisans, the agitators can also support them. With this in mind, the Morcha fielded independent candidates in the GTA elections.

The GTA has a total of 45 seats. In all the seats, the candidates have nominated as Morcha-influenced independents This initiative of the Morcha has been sharply ridiculed by several other political parties. The Indian Gurkha Republican Front has been saying for so long that they do not want GTA elections. Then why the candidate?

Meanwhile, Ajay Edward’s Hamro Party is currently in power in the hills. They are also shocked by this role of the Morcha. The BJP has once again reminded that GTA is not a solution.
