Gujarat beat Delhi by 14 runs
Gujarat Titans beat Delhi Capitals by 14 runs in the 10th match of IPL. Batting first in the match played at Maharashtra Cricket Stadium in Pune, Gujarat scored 171 runs for six wickets in 20 overs. Shubman Gill scored 84 runs in 46 balls.
In reply, Delhi’s team could only manage 157 runs for nine wickets in 20 overs. Captain Rishabh Pant scored 43 runs for Delhi. Loki Ferguson of Gujarat took four wickets. He took two wickets each in the same over twice.
Gujarat team is only the second team this season to successfully defend the target. Before him, Rajasthan Royals have defended the target in two consecutive matches. So far in 10 matches, only three matches have been won by the team batting first. The remaining seven matches were won by the teams chasing the target.

In the 18th over, Mohammed Shami took two wickets in two consecutive balls. He dismissed Rovman Powell albw in the second ball of the over. Gujarat Titans has set a target of 172 runs in front of Delhi Capitals. Batting first after losing the toss, Gujarat got off to a bad start. Mustafizur Rahman, playing his first match this season, got Matthew Wade (1) caught by wicketkeeper Pant on the third ball of the first over. After this Vijay Shankar also could not do anything special. He was dismissed after playing a slow innings of 13 runs in 20 balls. There was a partnership of 42 runs between Shankar and Shubman off 35 balls. After this, captain Hardik Pandya took over the innings along with Shubman Gill. Both shared a partnership of 65 runs in 47 balls for the third wicket.
After this, the magic of left-arm fast bowler Khaleel Ahmed was seen. He sent captain Hardik to the pavilion on the last ball of the 14th over.
