Brijbhushan said – If I open my mouth, a tsunami will come
Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh, president of the Wrestling Federation of India (WFI), surrounded by allegations of sexual harassment, refused to resign on Friday. He said, ‘If I open my mouth, a tsunami will come. I also have many players in my support. If sources are to be believed, the Sports Ministry cannot take direct action on the WFI, but the Indian Olympic Association can dissolve the federation. In such a situation, if Brij Bhushan does not agree, then IOA can take action.

Indian Olympic Association has the right to dissolve the federation
The Indian Olympic Association (IOA) has the right to dissolve the National Federation. This has already been done in 2008 and 2009. The IOA dissolved the Hockey Federation in 2008. At that time, in a sting operation on Jyoti Kumaran, the secretary of the federation, the matter of taking money from the player came to light.

Then the President of the Hockey Federation of India was KPS Gill. At that time the command of the temporary committee was handed over to former hockey player Aslam Sheikh Khan. Former hockey players Ajitpal Singh, Zafar Iqbal, Dhanraj Pillai and Ashok Kumar were its members in this committee.

The Weightlifting Federation was also dissolved by the IOA in 2009. At that time many cases of dope were coming in weightlifting. At that time the president was Harbhajan Singh.

term ending in march
The chances of action on the President of the Wrestling Association from the ministry are less. Sources told- If WFI President Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh resigns himself then it is okay, otherwise the ministry cannot remove him. The tenure of WFI President Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh is ending by March. As per the rules of the wrestling association, he cannot contest further elections.
