Gorakhpur. Several TTEs together beat up a passenger at Gorakhpur railway station. After the video of the incident went viral, instead of taking action against the TTE, the railway police arrested the passenger who was beaten up. The ticket inspector has lodged a complaint against the passenger at the railway station. The video of beating the passenger itself is going viral. The arrested passenger is a junior engineer in Ansari Ali Awas Vikas Nigam, Basti. He was going to Lucknow. It is alleged that he was traveling in AC coach on general ticket. He had a dispute with TTE regarding ticket making.

The incident is of platform number 8 of Gorakhpur railway station. Here many TTEs were beating a passenger together. This video of 5.42 minutes is being told on the evening of 6th April. Kushinagar Express will leave platform number 8 to go to LTT. In front of this, TTE is seen hitting the passenger. Meanwhile, a passenger captured the video of the fight in his mobile which was made viral.
Ansari Ali boarded the Kushinagar Express with a general ticket to go to Lucknow. He asked the young TTE to make tickets. Due to the low age of TTE and himself being a resident of the West, you naturally came out of his mouth and there was a debate with TTE on this matter. TTE pushed him and in response he also pushed with his hand. TTE got hurt due to this. After this many TTEs came in support of the colleague and thrashed the passenger.
It would have been fine if the matter had ended here, but after that the TTE went to the GRP and registered the case as well. According to the GRP Inspector, the arrested JE is posted in the Housing Development Corporation in Basti. A case has been registered against him. Police is taking further action.
