Good news for the tourists of Himachal: Bus will go on the world’s highest route Leh-Delhi from June 8

There is good news for tourists and people going to Himachal Pradesh. Himachal Pradesh Road Transport Corporation (HRTC) is going to start bus service on the world’s highest route Delhi-Leh from 8th June. The Transport Corporation is going to start bus service on this route 7 days before this time as compared to last year. After this, people from the country’s capital will get bus facility directly to Leh.

Tour of Leh-Ladakh including Delhi, Haryana, Punjab, Himachal will now be possible by only one bus. With the commencement of this bus service, tourists will be able to enjoy the beautiful views of 16500 feet high Baralacha, 15547 feet Nakilla, 17480 feet Tanglangla and 16616 feet high Lachung Pass. In these passes, the bus will move forward by tearing the high mountains of snow. This wonderful sight is seen only for 3 to 4 months every year.

1026 kilometer journey in 30 hours
The fare for a distance of about 1026 km from Delhi to Leh will be Rs 1740. It will take about 30 hours to complete the journey on this route and tourists will get the opportunity to visit Delhi, Haryana, Punjab, Himachal and Leh-Ladakh. This bus was closed in September 2022 after snowfall last year.

3 drivers and 2 conductors will provide services
3 drivers and 2 conductors will provide services on the Leh-Delhi route for a journey of 30 hours. On departure from Leh, the first driver takes the bus to Keylong. The second one travels from Keylong to Sundernagar, the third one from Sundernagar to Delhi. Similarly, the first conductor provides services from Leh to Keylong and the second from Keylong to Delhi.
