Raveena has topped in two blocks in 12th board arts by securing 93% marks. She is a resident of village Garhi Mamod near Narayanpur town of Alwar district.

17-year-old Raveena Gurjar’s father Ramesh, who was studying in a government school in the village, died 12 years ago due to snakebite. Mother Vidya Devi’s heart valves are both defective. She has got the operation done at SMS Hospital in Jaipur. She lives in a hut. There was no electricity connection in the house. Raveena takes care of the younger siblings along with the household chores. After this the goats graze. He used to do all the work during the day and study for 3 hours in the light of mobile torch at night.

Among the four siblings, Raveena’s elder sister is married. One sister and one brother are younger. He is also studying in the government school of Garhi Mamod. The condition of Raveena’s family is such that the expenses of the house are met only in 2000 rupees from the Palanhar scheme. He got the support of Nobel Laureate Kailash Satyarthi, who runs the Mobile Bal Ashram School for his studies.

Raveena lives in a kutcha house. Poverty is clearly visible from the condition of the house. During the rainy season, water falls from the thatch.

In a hurry, with the efforts of Bansur MLA Shakuntala Rawat, Jaipur Discom gave electricity connection to Raveena’s house on June 9. Discom officials have also explained about getting the benefit of the scheme up to 50 units.

people came forward for financial help
Gujjar leader Vijay Bainsla congratulated Raveena by tweeting. Nepal Singh Kasana, President of All Gurjar Education Federation has announced financial help. Dr. Mahipal Chandela, a doctor at Bansur’s Government Hospital, has also talked about financial help for studies. Former minister Dr Rohitashv Sharma has announced to give 5 thousand rupees every month to Raveena.
