German Chancellor Olaf Scholz will reach Bengaluru at around 10 am today. Scholz arrived in India on February 25 on a two-day visit. During this he met Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President Draupadi Murmu.

Prime Minister Modi and German Chancellor Scholz held talks on bilateral, regional and global issues of terrorism. Talking on terrorism, PM Modi had said – There is active cooperation between India and Germany in the fight against terrorism and separatism. Both countries also agree that concrete action is needed to eliminate cross border terrorism.

Russia-Ukraine war was also discussed
Prime Minister Narendra Modi said- We have been talking about peace since the beginning of the Russia-Ukraine war. We have said that the issue should be resolved through talks. India is ready to contribute to any peace process. Similarly, security and defense co-operation can become an important pillar of the Indo-German strategic partnership. We will continue to work together to fully realize our potential in this area.

At the same time, German Chancellor Scholz said – the whole world is suffering the brunt of the Russia-Ukraine war. This is a catastrophe because we know that this war violates the economic principles that we all agreed upon.

Olaf Scholz said that in the midst of the war, our focus is on providing food and energy supplies to the people.

There is a deep understanding between the two countries
PM Modi said- India and Germany are increasing mutual cooperation for the development of the Third World under the Triangular Development Cooperation. People-to-people relations between us have also deepened in the last few years. Last year during my visit to Germany, we announced the Green and Sustainable Development Partnership. Through this, we are expanding cooperation in the areas of climate action and the Sustainable Development Goals.

Scholz said – Indians should also get jobs in Germany
Scholz said- About 1,800 German companies are active in India. Thousands of Indians do jobs in these. We need talent, we need skilled workers. The development of IT and software is happening rapidly in India. There is so much talent in India and we want to take advantage of the relationship between the two countries. We want Indians to get jobs in Germany also. India and Germany already have good relations. We will keep on strengthening them.
