GATE 2024: From Exam Pattern To Subject List, All You Need To Know – News18

GATE Exam 2024 is scheduled on February 3, 4, 10, and 11.

The Indian Institute of Science Bangalore will be conducting the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) Exam 2024 this year. Registration for GATE 2024 began on 30 August and will end on 29 September, as per the amended schedule. Moreover, the candidates will also be able to register with late fees until October 13. Those seeking to apply for the exam and are eligible to appear for GATE 2024 can visit the official website, gate2024.iisc.ac.in.

Notably, the examination for GATE 2024 has been scheduled to be conducted on February 3, 4, 10, and 11. Moreover, the GATE 2024 admit card will be rolled out for the students on January 3, 2024. On the other hand, results are likely to be revealed on March 16, 2024.

GATE 2024: EXAM PATTERN

GATE 2024 will have 30 subjects with objective test papers and all the papers will be in English. Candidates will only be allowed to take one or two exam papers. Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ), Multiple Select Questions (MSQ), and Numerical Answer Type (NAT) questions will be there in the question papers. Candidates will be asked to choose the correct answer in MCQs out of a possible four. While there is a possibility of one or more answers being correct for MSQs, the answers for the NAT questions must be entered via a virtual keypad.

GATE 2024: MARKING SCHEME

There will be a negative marking for the incorrect responses and a third of the score will be deducted for a 1-mark MCQ in case of wrong answers. For a 2-mark MCQ, there will be a 2/3 mark deduction for the incorrect response. Moreover, there will be no deduction for incorrect MSQ and NAT responses.
