Late night Lawrence was brought to Bathinda jail.
He was sent to Bathinda Jail in Punjab late at night amid suspicions of gangster Lawrence’s murder in Delhi jail. The Delhi Jail Administration had produced Lawrence in the local court in the past. After which he was sent to judicial custody. Recently, after the appeal of the Delhi Jail Administration, the court ordered him to be sent to Bathinda Jail after the remand was over.
Taking cognizance of the appeal of Delhi Jail Administration about 3 days ago, the court has also asked to hand over the gangster to Bathinda Jail after completion of his custody. Actually, Lawrence was locked in Bathinda Central Jail for a long time. From here he was taken into custody by the Gujarat Police for investigation of a criminal case and brought to Sabarmati Jail in Gujarat.
At the same time, the central agencies got the input of attack on Lawrence. As per inputs, the Bambiha gang may organize an attack on Lawrence. After which he was airlifted to Delhi at night. But now in the central security agencies, Lawrence’s life has been told in Delhi as a threat.

The Crime Branch of Delhi Police had taken Lawrence into custody in the last week of May regarding a case and brought him to Delhi. The court had sent the gangster on remand. On Sunday, June 11, Lawrence was presented in the court, from where the court, accepting the demand of the police, extended the custody till June 14.
Along with this, the demand of the Delhi Jail Administration was also accepted, in which it was said that on completion of the gangster’s custody, he should be directly handed over to Bathinda Jail. Meanwhile, the court has also given orders to make adequate security arrangements.
Law Arrangement to deteriorate Of hawala
The Delhi Police had written in its application that law and order could deteriorate due to Lawrence’s stay in Delhi jail. Lawrence was first taken on remand by NIA from Bathinda Jail, then by Gujarat Police and now in custody by Delhi Police Crime Branch. Therefore, the jail from where the agencies had taken Lawrence into custody, should be sent directly to that jail and not to Delhi jail.
Will remain here till the case is over in Punjab
It was clearly stated in the orders of the Delhi court that there are many criminal cases registered against Lawrence in Punjab. In such a situation, he should be kept in Bathinda Jail only. He will remain there till the case is over. If the hearing has to be held in any other court, it will be done through video conferencing only.
