Some fresh faces have been added to the Spanish top-flight division. While Kylian Mbappe will certainly take the headlines, check out some other signings that might light up La Liga.
As football fans get ready for yet another season of La Liga, as every year, there have been some new interesting additions during the summer transfer window. New partnerships could prove to be some exciting additions to the league, providing the fans with some entertaining players thriving on the big stages in Spain.
Alexander Sørloth – Atletico Madrid
The Norwegian international might not have the hype behind him like an Erling Haaland, but he has slowly crept up to be a lethal finisher scoring 23 goals in 34 games last season. Under Simeone, and with the presence of an outright number 9, this could prove to be a dream partnership which provides some exciting goals and entertainment for Spanish football fans.
Endrick – Real Madrid
Proclaimed as the next-big talent coming from Brazil, Endrick will now be expected to slowly grow into the player that the likes of Vinicius Jr and Rodrygo have become, but this signing will be more into the long-term with the player still only 18 years old. However, the challenge remains just as massive and with his fellow countrymen around, he could just find himself being groomed into the next big superstar of world football.
Robin Le Normand – Atletico Madrid
The Spanish defender will join Atletico, a club that has shown a history of creating some fine defenders during their time under Diego Simeone, but he will have to adapt to playing in a 3 at the back system if he is to thrive playing for the Los Rojiblancos. But hitting at the prime of his career, this could be the step needed to establish himself as amongst the best defenders in La Liga.
Dani Olmo – Barcelona
Making his return to Catalonia after an impressive Euro 2024 campaign, Olmo will now be aiming to get back in touch with his La Masia roots. With Hansi Flick at the helm, Olmo will be expected to be among the front-runners in Barca’s midfield showcase his talents in the Spanish league and hopefully help the Catalan club get back to winning ways.
Julian Alvarez – Atletico Madrid
Not many players would make a move to Atletico when they have already won almost everything there is to win in both club and international football. At the age of 24, Alvarez now hopes to take a step up in his career and show the world why he should be considered among the best players in the world. Despite not being able to be the main man at Manchester City, Alvarez has shown glimpses of his brilliance but now, he will have to learn to lead the attack and hopefully bring Atletico to the very top, surpassing their rivals.
Kylian Mbappe – Real Madrid
We all have seen what the Frenchman can do. Already among the top 3 players in the world, Mbappe will now begin a new chapter in his career, living his dream with the Los Blancos. Already he made a fine start, scoring in Real Madrid’s Super Cup win over Atalanta and there is a lot to look forward to as he could be the final piece of the puzzle for Real Madrid to rule world football all over again, under the experience of Carlo Ancelotti.
