Four college staff electrocuted in Maharashtra | Nagpur News – Times of India

AMRAVATI: In a tragic incident, four employees of Kathora road-based Pote College of Engineering died of electrocution on Wednesday.
The incident caused sensation in the college, which is run by BJP MLC and former guardian minister Pravin Pote.
Gadgenagar police said the incident occurred around 12.30pm when the employees were painting the newly constructed entrance gate.
According to police, the iron ladder they were using came in contact with an overhead electric cable and the four got electrocuted. They died on the spot, police added.
The deceased have been identified as Akshay Sahebrao Sawarkar (25) and Gokul Shalikramji Wagh (28), both residents of Takli Jehangir, Prashant Selukar (30), a resident of Shirala, and Sanjay Dandnaik (45), a resident of Maltekdi here.
Police and fire brigade personnel rushed to the spot and removed the bodies to the district general hospital.
