A Formula-1 car caught fire during Oracle Red Bull Racing in Bandra, Mumbai on Sunday. The incident took place near Bandstand in Bandra, where car racing was taking place. The rescue team extinguished the fire after reaching the spot. There is no information about any casualty.
Oracle Red Bull Racing is happening in India after a long gap of eight years. The reigning Formula-1 World Champions Red Bull Racing has been waiting for a long time. In this, Formula-1 legend David Coulthard will drive the RB7 car of four-time F1 world champion Sebastian Vettel at Bandra. Vettel won his third Drivers’ World Championship in 2011 with the RB7.

Jean Eric Vergne of France won the title of the first E-Formula race held on 12 February 2023 in Hyderabad. This was the 12th win for the DS Penske veteran. He drove the car at a speed of more than 300 km per hour in Hyderabad. A one-time Formula One racer, Eric is currently the biggest name in Formula E. Eric was born in Pontois, France.
He started karting (a type of car racing) at the age of four. For the first time he participated in Formula One race in 2000. Gradually, he made a name for himself in this format and won many big championships. The year 2010 was the most special for him. He won 12 out of 24 races this year. He was the driver of Redbull then.
