The case was registered by ADO Panchayat Anil Kumar in the Shahzadnagar police station

Former MP Azam Khan has been convicted in the 2019 hate speech case. The case was registered against him for his provocative speech during the 2019 Lok Sabha election campaign. He had also passed comments on PM Modi and Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath.

ADO Panchayat Anil Kumar had filed a case against him in Rampur’s Shahzadnagar police station. Case hearing is in progress at the court.
