A footbridge collapsed during Baisakhi festival in Jammu and Kashmir’s Udhampur on Friday. Six people have been injured in the accident. Police and other teams have reached the spot. Rescue operation is going on. The incident is of Bain village of Chenani block. Udhampur’s SSP Dr. Vinod has given information about this.
According to media reports, a fair is organized on Baisakhi in Bain village of Udhampur. In which a large number of people participate. This time also a huge crowd gathered in the fair. During this, the accident happened due to more people climbing on the bridge. It is being claimed that the footbridge was built by the people of the area by depositing money.
