After two-and-a-half years of the BJP-JJP government in Haryana, the wait for the first expansion of the cabinet is over. Two new ministers will take oath at Raj Bhavan at 4 pm on Tuesday. If any of the current ministers are removed (though the probability of this is negligible) then the number of those taking oath can increase. At present, one MLA each from the BJP and its ally JJP is being made a minister.

Decision in JJP legislature party meeting

In JJP, Devendra Babli reached Chandigarh on Monday evening to become a minister. However, the final stamp will be put in the meeting of the JJP legislature party at 10 am on Tuesday. Babli was in Tohana on Monday. When the time for expansion of the cabinet was fixed, he went straight to Gurugram. From there reach Chandigarh in the evening. They are said to be alert so that no major changes take place at the last minute. Although there were discussions about the replacement of Anoop Dhanak in the past, but now it is calm. If BJP changes its ministers, discussion on Anup Dhanak is also possible in the JJP legislature party meeting.

tug of war between BJP MLAs

On the other hand, the Vaishya Samaj MLA from BJP quota has to get the minister’s chair and there is a tug of war between two MLAs regarding this. Dr. Kamal Gupta’s claim seems stronger. Speaker Gyanchand is said to be standing in comparison to him, but he has to become a minister of state from the BJP quota, so the chances of Gyanchand Gupta leaving the cabinet minister status are less. Well, politics is a game of possibilities, it is difficult to say when what will happen here.

only two seats empty

Apart from the Chief Minister, 13 ministers can be made in the assembly of 90 MLAs in Haryana. At present, Anoop Dhanak is a minister along with 8 BJP and Deputy CM Dushyant Chautala from JJP. Power Minister Ranjit Chautala is an independent. In this situation only two more MLAs can get the flagged vehicle. Although the names from both the parties have almost been decided, but still the MLAs are busy in fitting the gotti at the last moment. The biggest emphasis is on Dr. Kamal Gupta of BJP. There is also discussion on 3 other names in BJP.

This is the party wise position of the assembly

The BJP is the single largest party, winning 40 out of 90 seats in the Haryana Legislative Assembly. Due to not getting a clear majority (46 seats), a coalition government was formed. BJP’s ally JJP has 10 seats. Congress is the second largest party with 31 MLAs. Apart from these, INLD and Haryana Lokhit Party (Halopa) have one each and 07 Independent MLAs.

power them now

BJP’s Manohar Lal is in the chief minister’s chair while JJP’s Dushyant Chautala is the deputy CM. Apart from these, there are 10 ministers. Anoop Dhanak has become a minister from JJP. Anil Vij, Kanwarpal Gurjar, Moolchand Sharma, Sandeep Singh, Omprakash Yadav, JP Dalal, Dr. Banwari Lal, Kamlesh Dhanda have got the minister’s chair from BJP. Independent Ranjit Singh Chautala is also a minister.

Many in JJP want to minister

Jan Nayak Janata Party (JJP) has got three cabinet seats due to alliance with BJP. Due to the coronation of Dushyant and Anoop Dhanak, one of their seats is still vacant. Apart from Tohana MLA Devendra Babli, Ramkumar Gautam and Jogiram Sihag have also been eager to become ministers from JJP. While Gautam has spoken openly, Jogi Ram Sihag has also turned down the chairman’s chair. On which side the camel sits in the JJP legislature party meeting, it will be a matter to be seen. However, Ramkumar Gautam has been silent since his son became the AAG.

Why only Babli from JJP

Behind Babli becoming a minister, it is being said that he has won the most votes after former CM Bhupinder Singh Hooda. He has come to the assembly after defeating BJP’s state president Subhash Barala. He also had conditions to leave Congress and join JJP. He has also shown rebellious attitude. JJP’s state president Nishan Singh had to give up the ticket claim for him. If there is a threat of rebellion in JJP, it is only from Devendra Babli’s side. In such a situation, it is necessary to make him a minister to keep him happy.

Vaishya Samaj’s claim for the post of minister

The post of minister is being given to Vaishya Samaj from the quota of BJP. There are eight MLAs of this society, but there is no minister. Gyanchand Gupta of the society is definitely the speaker of the assembly. In such a situation, the claim of the society on the post of minister is confirmed. This class has also been considered the traditional vote bank of the BJP. The names of Hisar MLA Dr. Kamal Gupta and Panchkula MLA and Speaker Gyanchand Gupta are being discussed in the cabinet expansion.

Gyan Chand can be celebrated as a minister. Although the probability of that is low. Because there is a minister of state’s chair in BJP’s quota. His speaker’s post is equivalent to that of a cabinet minister. If BJP reshuffles its ministers, they are sure to become ministers, although the chances of reshuffle are less.

In such a situation, Dr. Kamal Gupta is the only sure contender for the post of minister. He has become an MLA for the second time. Even at the time of formation of the government, sweets were distributed even as he was sure to become a minister. But the name got cut at the last minute. Now they are walking slowly. On Monday, when he was asked about this, he gave such a response that the news keeps coming, keeps going. No response before.
