Firing over parking in Patna, 2 killed: 50 rounds fired, mob torches accused’s house-marriage hall; women were taken out by the police

The house and marriage hall of accused Umesh Rai were set ablaze by the local people in Jethuli village of Patna.

In Jethuli village of Patna, 50 rounds of firing took place in a dispute between two parties over parking on Sunday, in which two people died. 4 more people have been shot in the firing. After the incident, angry people set fire to the accused’s house and marriage hall. Police rescued women and children trapped in the house. Two vehicles kept in the house were also gutted in the fire.

Angry people also tried to set fire to the house of the other accused. During this, the fire brigade vehicle that reached to extinguish the fire was not allowed to move forward. The angry mob deflated the tyres. Police and media persons were also chased away from the spot. There is a strict police guard in the entire village. 7 people have been arrested in this case.

When asked to remove the vehicle, they started firing.
Gautam Kumar’s uncle (Sanjit Kumar) who was killed in the firing told that they were taking out the car from their private parking. On the way ballast was being unloaded from the car of the people of the accused side. When asked to remove the car, people started fighting.

Sanjit Kumar alias Tuntun Yadav of the victim’s family told that Ramesh Rai, Satish Rai, Umesh Rai, Bachha Rai of Jethuli village fired fiercely on Gautam Kumar on Sunday regarding car parking. The people of Umesh Rai faction fired more than 50 rounds, in which 6 people were injured. Relatives say that Gautam Kumar and Roshan Rai have died in the firing.

Patna SSP Manav Jeet Singh Dhillon told that the cause of the incident is running due to the dispute of Panchayat elections. Gautam Kumar (24) and Roshan Kumar (18), Narik Rai, Nagendra Rai and Chanarikarai were injured in the firing in this case. Gautam and Roshan died during treatment. Satish Kumar, Baldev Singh, Vijay Kumar, Rahul Kumar, Sunil Kumar, Aryan Kumar and Amanraj of the other party have been arrested in this case. The SSP said that the situation is completely calm and under control. Police force has been deployed at the spot.

It is being told that when the firing and then arson was taking place, the DGP meeting was going on in Patna regarding crime control and law and order. DGP Rajwinder Singh Bhatti was in the SSP office. Patna’s IG, SSP, all City SPs, Rural SPs, all SDPOs and SHOs were present in this meeting.
