A case of firing has come to light in Delhi’s Tis Hazari court. After an argument between two groups of lawyers, a fight broke out and one lawyer opened fire. No one has been injured in the incident. Police is probing the matter as to how the weapon reached the court despite the security norms.

Deputy Commissioner (North) Sagar Singh Kalsi said, “The incident of firing took place at Tis Hazari Court around 1.35 pm on Wednesday. When the police reached the spot, it was found that two different groups of lawyers, including office-bearers, had fired in the air.”

At the same time, Parmaditya, Joint Commissioner (Central Range) of Delhi Police said that five empty rounds have been recovered from the court campus. Our FSL (Forensic Science Laboratory) team is on the spot and the matter will be further investigated.

Another video of the incident has surfaced in which another lawyer is seen firing after loading cartridges into the gun. This video was also recorded by a lawyer present in the campus.

Bar Council President said – action will be taken
Bar Council of Delhi President KK Manan condemned the incident of firing in Tis Hazari Court premises. He said, “The matter will be thoroughly investigated. It will be ascertained whether the weapon was licensed or not. Even if the weapon was licensed, no lawyer or any other person can use them in or around the court premises. Is.”
