Father turned out to be accused of raping a minor: Was raping for 10 months, pregnancy was disclosed in the hospital on stomach pain

A case of rape of a minor has come to light in Tamil Nadu’s Vellore district. Here the father was raping a 13-year-old daughter for 10 months. The matter came to light on Tuesday, when the girl’s stomach suddenly started hurting. On this the family took her to the hospital, after investigation, the doctors told that the girl is pregnant.

The minor gave birth to a baby boy in the hospital. At the same time, the medical team informed the Child Welfare Committee about the incident. After this, the committee has lodged a complaint with the women’s police station in Vellore.

Threatened not to tell anyoneAccording to the police, interrogation of the minor revealed that his parents are divorced. The girl, along with her brother and mother, lives with her grandparents. The minor used to go home every day to give food to the father. Here the father was raping the girl for the last 10 months. The father had also threatened not to tell this to anyone.

Based on the information received from the minor, the police arrested the accused by registering a case under the POCSO Act and the Indian Penal Code section.
