Scope

A fire broke out in a coach of a passenger train from Kasganj in Farrukhabad district on Sunday at around 11:45 pm as it left Harsinghpur Goa halt. On being informed by the guard, the train was stopped near the Hathiyapur railway crossing.

The third compartment behind the train has been hurriedly separated from the engine. Seeing the fire, the passengers sitting in it started jumping. Some passengers are reported to be injured. RPF Inspector Virendra Kumar said that the fire is being extinguished.

The fire brigade has not arrived yet. The incident caused a stir among the passengers.
