Farmers will protest against agriculture laws outside Raj Bhavans across India. Chandigarh News – Times of India

Rohtak: On June 26, when seven months would have been completed against the three agricultural laws, then farmers planning to protest outside Raj Bhavan To pitch for his demand for repeal of laws across the country and to seek legal backing for Minimum Support Price (MSP). They will also hand over a memorandum addressed to the President to the Governors.
Sanyukth Kisan Morcha (SKM) Senior leader and Swaraj Party leader Yogendra Yadav said this while addressing a press conference on Thursday.
Yadav also said that the ‘Kisan Andolan’ would complete its seven months on the Haryana-Delhi borders on June 26, which coincided with the declaration of Emergency (1975). On June 26, farmers will declare 46th Emergency Day in the country.
Comparing the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government to the colonial British rule, he accused the party of adopting a misguided strategy to malign the ongoing movement. Expressing hope in the process of talks with the ruling regime, Yadav said the government claimed it was just a call away to hold talks with farmers to end the impasse, but that call never matured. He said that the government is under the misconception that it can use force to destroy the farmers’ movement.
“It is their sheer arrogance and they have started lashing out at those sympathizing with the movement,” he said.
Yadav said that before 2014, PM Narendra Modi supported legislation on MSP on all crops, but he is running away from his promises made to farmers in the past.
