Farmers are again on the path of agitation. It has been almost eight months, with the government withdrawing the controversial bill and promising to find a solution at the earliest after considering the demands of the farmers. but nothing happened. There are definitely demands for withdrawal of cases against farmers, but the biggest issue is that of MSP.

MSP stands for Minimum Support Price. i.e. Minimum Support Price. Farmers want that their crops should not be bought anywhere less than the MSP. In fact, what happens is that as soon as the quota for government procurement is met, the market and market committees stop buying the crop.

The farmer sells the remaining crop to the merchant under compulsion. Traders do not believe in anything like MSP. He keeps his price fixed according to the time. If you want to sell then sell or else go home. What should the poor farmer do?

Mandi and market committees stop buying crops after the government quota is met. After this the farmers are forced to sell their crops to the traders at throwaway prices. Farmers say that what is wrong with the committees in buying the entire crop from us?

The government has its own compulsions. After all, after the procurement quota is met, the government has no control over anyone. Many times the farmer is ready to sell the crop to the traders at a price less than the MSP because the trader gives cash money and the farmer’s work is standing in front.

Marriage, maternal, next crop seed purchase, fertilizer and medicine etc. The screw is here that in many places the trader buys the farmer’s crop at a lower price and sells it at a higher price. Sometimes to a big businessman in another city. Sometimes the committees in connivance with the officers of the market committees. Farmers say that what is wrong with the committees in buying the entire crop from us?

The most important thing is that if there is a problem, then there must be a solution. When the government had promised that a solution would be found soon, why was it not possible? The truth is that governments take every problem or crisis immediately. Their emphasis is more on the immediate solution.

In view of the demand of the farmers, the government had formed the MSP committee. The only government representatives in this committee were those who were supporting the controversial bills. Therefore, the farmers did not send their representatives for talks with the government committee. The matter remains as it is.

The crisis is over now, it can be filled. The latter will be seen later. This attitude is the most hurtful. Why should a farmer go back on track if the promise is fulfilled on time? Why did the farmer again need to stage a dharna at Jantar Mantar?

Now the government can say that we had formed the MSP committee. What should we do if the farmers have not sent their representatives at all? But when did the government form the committee? Last July. That is, after seven and a half months.

The farmers refused to send their representatives as they were the only government representatives in this committee who were supporting the controversial bills. The government was supposed to move forward on this issue but it has vowed not to bow down. So the crisis is about to reach Delhi again.
