Gurgaon Police of Haryana has busted a call center cheating in the name of providing technical support to foreign nationals. It was running in a house in Universal Trade Tower, Sector 49. From here the police arrested a total of 14 accused including call center operator Aditya and 3 women. Against them Section 420, 120B IPC and 66, 66D, 75, IT Act. A case has already been registered under the police station cyber crime.

The accused told during interrogation that Aditya Singh was running this fake call center along with these 13 employees. All the employees were kept on salary. Aditya Singh told during interrogation that he along with all his colleagues listens to calls coming on toll free numbers through REAL PBX DAILER.
In various ways USA/foreign nationals create problems for them after taking orders from Amazon, PayPal, Ebay, Zelle and Cash app etc. by asking them to cancel the order and then cheat them in the name of solving the same problem. After cheating, they used to change the toll free number as well.

It was also revealed in the police inquiry that when the customer used to call on the toll free number given by him, that call was connected to him through the vendor. If the customers tell them their problems, they first take them into confidence to solve their problems and get remote access to their systems through applications like Anydesk, Team Viewer, Ultra Viewer etc. in the name of solving their problems.
By not telling them the real thing, telling them about other problems, including the risk of personal information, account hacking by hackers, device insecure, financial information leak and child pornography, etc. Would have cheated 100-500 dollars. Used to take payment from the customer through Gift Card (Amazon, Paypal, Cash app, Gift Card etc.) and CDM in their bank account.
3 fake call centers busted in a week
It may be noted that in the last one week, the Gurugram Police has busted three fake call centers cheating foreign nationals in the name of customer service and if the Gurugram Police is to be believed, the police are keeping a close watch on such fake call centers and continuously On getting information about the centres, prompt action is being taken.
