Exclusive: Police car burnt in police plan, claims Vikas Ranjan

The incident of setting fire to a police vehicle near Lalbazar during BJP’s Navanna Abhiyan program is part of the police’s plan. This was claimed by lawyer and left member of Rajya Sabha Vikasaranjan Bhattacharya.

In an exclusive interview to Hindustan Times on Wednesday, he said, Why was the abandoned police car left a stone’s throw away from Lalbazar? No driver, no police personnel, was an empty car left to be set on fire? And no one threw petrol bombs on the fire. First, the car has been vandalized for some time, what were the policemen in charge of that car doing? After that petrol was collected and set on fire. Meanwhile, the police sat and watched. It is clear that the police had a plan behind the whole incident.

‘Bombs were brought in bags in Nabanna campaign’, the explosive complaint of the Chief Minister

During the BJP’s Navanna campaign on Tuesday, a police car was seen on fire at Rabindra Sarani near Lalbazar. Calcutta police arrested 4 people in this incident by filing a separate case. However, BJP claims that Trinamool people in the procession set the fire. They also brought the police to the table for this. This time the same thing was heard in the mouth of Bikash Babu.
