Security forces killed two Hizbul Mujahideen terrorists on Saturday evening in Bijbihara of South Kashmir’s Anantnag district. Weapons have been recovered from the slain terrorists. Both were involved in many terrorist incidents. Mobile internet service has been suspended in Bijbihara and adjoining areas in the fear of violence. The encounter took place in the Valley for the fourth consecutive day.

Police said that information about the movement of terrorists was received in Shitipora of Bijbihara. Based on this information, the police along with the Army and CRPF started a search operation by cordoning off the area. During this, the terrorists hiding in a house started firing on the search party. In the encounter that started with retaliation, it was successful in killing two terrorists.

IG Kashmir Vijay Kumar said that the slain terrorists have been identified as Ishfaq Ahmad Dar of Chakwangund in Anantnag and Yawar Ayub of Dogripora, Awantipora. Both were associated with Hizbul. Both were involved in many terrorist incidents.

12 terrorists eliminated in four days
Encounter broke out in the Valley for the fourth consecutive day on Saturday. In four days, the security forces have completed the work of 12 terrorists. Of this, seven belonged to Lashkar-e-Taiba, three to Jaish-e-Mohammed and two to Hizbul Mujahideen. The IG said that the operation against the terrorists will be intensified.
