ED raid on Punjab AAP MLA: House and factory being searched; Already raided in 40 crore bank scam

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has raided Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLA Jaswant Singh Gajjanmajra from Amargarh, Punjab. This raid has taken place in schools, real estate and factories of Gajjanamajra. The ED team is also investigating 12 people close to the MLA. However, the reason behind the raid has not been revealed yet. MLA Gajjanamajra is accused of 40 crore bank scam. In which earlier also the MLA’s bases have been raided.

After winning the election, MLA Gajjanmajra had talked about taking a salary of one rupee.

AAP MLA Jaswant Singh Gajjanmajra had taken a loan from the bank in 4 installments between 2011 and 2014. This loan was about 40.92 crores. The Ludhiana branch of the bank complained about this to the CBI. In which it was said that instead of the purpose for which Gajjanmajra had taken the loan, it was used at some other place.

Last time it was recovered
Last time 94 signed blank checks were found in red. Many Aadhar cards were also found. Cash worth Rs 16.57 lakh was recovered. Police recovered 88 foreign currency notes, property documents, documents related to several bank accounts.

MLA came in discussion after 1 rupee salary
AAP MLA Jaswant Singh Gajjanmajra came into the limelight when he announced that he would take only Re 1 salary. Gajjanamajra had said that Punjab was facing financial problems. That’s why I will take a salary of Re 1 as an MLA. In the election he defeated Simranjit Singh Mann of Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar).
