Soren said such incidents have no place in the society. The punishment provisions in such incidents need to be further tightened.
He said that the heartfelt tribute to Ankita daughter. Ankita’s family members have been instructed to fast track this heinous incident with the help of Rs 10 lakh. The Director General of Police has also been directed to give an early report on the progress of research by the ADG rank officer in the said case.
Union Minister Arjun Munda said this
Union Minister Arjun Munda on Dumka incident said who is responsible for such incidents? Were proper measures taken to save the victim? How will the accused be punished? The state government should answer. He should issue a statement to maintain the confidence of the people. I demand that the state government should constitute a special task force which should file the charge sheet on time and the decision comes on time so that people have faith in the law and justice is done. The state government has to ensure this.
Chief Minister is doing appeasement politics
BJP national vice-president Raghubar Das alleged that Chief Minister Soren was doing the politics of appeasement in this matter. He said, the accused Nadeem, who was injured in the Ranchi violence, is sent to Delhi by air ambulance for better treatment, while the air ambulance was not provided for the treatment of the victim student of class 12. He said, the government should give a compensation of Rs one crore to the family members of the victim girl and a job to the family member.
Giriraj Singh targeted
Union Minister Giriraj Singh targeted the state government and Congress in the matter. He said that if there was a girl from other religion or if the accused was someone else, then there would have been a political picnic there. Rahul Gandhi would also go there. Chief Minister Hemant Soren would also be present there. Ankita and her family members were already complaining and Sarkar was sleeping. Women’s commission sought answer
On the incident of burning of a girl by a young man in Dumka, the Chairperson of the Women’s Commission Rekha Sharma said that it is very pathetic, you cannot force women to get married and that’s why the girl had to lose her life. We have sought a report from the DGP in 7 days.
The incident happened on 23 August
Let us tell you that on August 23, a person living in the neighborhood in unrequited love, sprinkled petrol on the girl student and set her on fire. She was sleeping in the house at the time of the incident. On the complaint of the family members, the police had registered a case against Shahrukh, who lived in the neighborhood, after which the police arrested him. Naeem alias Chhotu Khan, the second accused in the murder case, has also been arrested. The accused has been produced in Dumka court and sent to jail.
The incident was done for not having friendship.
According to a statement given to an executive magistrate, about 10 days before the incident, the accused had called the student on her mobile. Shahrukh had talked about friendship with her. At around 8 pm on Monday night, the accused made a call on the girl’s mobile phone. It has been told that during the conversation, the accused had threatened to kill the deceased. The deceased had informed her father about the threats made by her. Let us tell you that the police had recorded the statements during the treatment of the scorched girl student.
