Do you have a ‘speed’ project car? There are big changes in the rules, know the details

The state government brought major changes in the scheme ‘Gatidhara’ to make the unemployed youth of the state self-reliant. In special circumstances, change of ownership, transfer of permit and surrender of permit can be allowed for vehicles bought with bank loans and government subsidies. This facility was not available for so long. As a result, there was a problem in the death of the car owner, in case of damage to the car in an accident, in changing the ownership of the car and getting a new car. That will not be a problem from now on.

The ‘Gatidhara’ scheme provides loans to unemployed youth between the ages of 20 and 45 to purchase commercial vehicles. So that they can earn by themselves. This project was launched in 2015.

But because of government subsidies and bank loans on the cars bought under the scheme, there were problems in handing over ownership and permits. The current owners were in legal trouble. According to the source of the transport department, the government has changed the project guidelines to meet that problem. What has changed in the new guidelines

As per the new guidelines, the ownership and permit can be transferred to next of kin if the vehicle owner dies while the loan repayment process is in progress. Even if the car is damaged in an accident and found to be beyond repair, the car can be bought at own expense by submitting a permit and fulfilling certain conditions. If one wants to withdraw from the project or submit the permit prematurely, he will have to refund the subsidy at a proportionate rate.
