BSP Supremo Mayawati Announces Not To Attend Meeting

Bahujan Samaj Party chief Mayawati on Thursday announced that she will not be attending the meeting of the Opposition leaders in Patna. In a series of tweets, the former Uttar Pradesh CM said that parties like Congress and BJP do not have the ability to implement the constitution of Bhimrao Ambedkar.

“In a country suffering from inflation, poverty, unemployment, backwardness, illiteracy, ethnic hatred, religious frenzy/violence etc., it is clear from the stricken condition of Bahujans that parties like Congress and BJP do not have the ability to properly implement the humanistic egalitarian constitution of Bhimrao Ambedkar.”

She alleged that the opposition parties did not seem to be seriously concerned about their objectives.

“80 Lok Sabha seats of UP are said to be the key to electoral success, but it does not seem from the attitude of the opposition parties that they are serious and truly concerned about their objective here. Without the right priorities, will the preparations for the Lok Sabha elections here really bring about the necessary change?” she added.
