The Delhi High Court has given a jolt to Haryana BJP leader Kuldeep Bishnoi. The company owned by Kuldeep has been directed to deposit half of the lease amount in the trial court. The court has upheld the order of the trial court.

Kuldeep Bishnoi’s company had taken the farm house on lease on 20 May 2013. But later he did not pay his rent. It was not handed over back to the owner after the expiry of the lease period.

Farm house was taken on lease for 2 years
A farm house at Rajokri, Delhi was taken by Kuldeep Bishnoi, Managing Director of the company M/s Seth Enterprises Private Limited and his family for residential use at the rate of 4.25 lakhs per month for a period of 2 years.

The lease agreement dated 20 May 2013 with the petitioner expired on 14 April 2015. 2 The possession of the asset was not transferred to its owner, Nimitaya Properties Limited, despite legal notices. Nor was any fee paid for its use and possession.

Political activities violated the conditions
The petitioner went to court in the year 2015. The court was told that the company has carried out political activities in the premises in serious violation of the terms of the lease. It was also called the headquarters of the political party Haryana Janhit Congress. Delhi’s Patiala House Court on December 2020 ordered Kuldeep Bishnoi to vacate the farm house and appointed a local commissioner. The farm house was handed over to the owner after 5 years.

Kuldeep Bishnoi has now left Congress and joined BJP. Earlier in 2016, he had merged the Haryana Janhit Congress formed by father former CM Bhajan Lal with the Congress.

The trial court had given instructions to deposit the fee.
Additional District Judge Satyavrat Panda, in a judgment last year, had directed the respondent company to pay user and other charges at the rate of Rs 4.25 lakh per month from April 15, 2015 to April 14, 2017. At that time the court had said, ‘Similarly, every two years till November 15, 2020, the amount should be calculated with an increase of 15 percent and the defendant is directed to deposit the said amount in the court within two months. The total amount becomes 3.75 crores.
