Decision on Manish Sisodia’s bail on April 26: Rouse Avenue Court did not give relief in ED case; Will file charge sheet in 12 days

Former Delhi Deputy CM Manish Sisodia has been under detention since February 26.

The hearing on bail in the ED case against former Delhi Deputy CM Manish Sisodia, who was jailed in the Liquor Policy case, was held. However, the court has reserved the verdict. Now the court will give its verdict on April 26 at 4 pm. Before this, on April 24, the supplementary charge sheet of ED will also be debated in the Delhi court.

Manish Sisodia’s bail hearing in the ED case has already been held in the trial court. Meanwhile, the hearing was fixed on 18 April. The ED has told the court on April 17 that it is also going to file the next charge sheet against Manish Sisodia, Amandeep Singh Dhal and Arun Ramachandra Pillai by the end of April.

Sisodia’s bail plea timeline in ED and CBI case

  • On March 31, in the CBI’s liquor policy scam case, his bail plea was rejected by Special Judge MK Nagpal in Delhi Court.
  • On April 5, the bail plea in the money laundering case was once again listed for hearing. In which Special Judge MK Nagpal fixed the date of April 12.
  • On April 5 itself, Manish Sisodia filed a bail plea in the Delhi High Court in the CBI’s liquor policy scam case.
  • During the hearing on the bail plea on April 6, Justice Dinesh Sharma of the Delhi High Court sought the response of the CBI. The hearing in this matter will be held on April 20.
  • ED’s supplementary charge sheet will be debated in Delhi court on April 24.

Delhi court once again extended Manish’s custody

Manish Sisodia’s custody ended on 17 April. After which he was produced in the court on Monday. Special Judge MK Nagpal granted Sisodia custody to ED till April 27 and CBI custody till April 29.

The court also sent two other accused, Arun Ramachandra Pillai and Amandeep Dhall, arrested in the case, to ED custody till April 29. Significantly, the ED is probing the case of money laundering and CBI irregularities in the liquor policy case. Read full news…

Let us inform that former Deputy CM of Delhi Manish Sisodia is in the custody of ED in the case of money laundering. He was arrested by the CBI on February 26 after 8 hours of questioning. After 7 days CBI remand, the court sent Sisodia to Tihar Jail for 14 days judicial custody on 6 March.

On March 1, the ED had arrested Amandeep Singh Dhal, a businessman, in connection with money laundering in the Liquor Policy case. After questioning Amandeep, the agency arrested another businessman, Arun Ramachandra Pillai, on March 6. After this, ED reached Tihar Jail with both the accused and started questioning Manish Sisodia in the money laundering case. On March 9, the agency arrested Sisodia from jail itself.

ED interrogated Sisodia in Tihar Jail
According to reports, the ED team had reached Tihar along with two other accused arrested in the case. The ED had told that a bribe of 100 crores was taken from the traders of South Delhi in making the new liquor policy. In this case, the ED had arrested Hyderabad-based businessmen Arun Ramachandra Pillai and Amandeep Dhall on March 6. In this case, Telangana CM K. Chandrasekhar Rao’s (KCR) daughter K. The name of the poem also came up. The agency has also questioned Kavita in this case.

CBI is active for 8 months in Delhi liquor policy case
The CBI had registered a case on August 17, 2022 regarding irregularities in the Delhi liquor policy case. In this case, former Delhi Deputy CM Manish Sisodia was arrested first by the CBI and then by the ED. He is currently in ED custody. His bail will be heard on April 18.
