According to family sources, the wife of Sujit Mandal, a resident of Chura Bhandar in Mainaguri, was in labor last Wednesday. He was then admitted to the nursing home. The housewife gave birth to a son on the same day. The family members were very happy to hear about the birth of their son. However, their happiness did not last long. Shortly after the birth, the family members received the news of the death of their son. They complained that the baby was placed in the heater after birth. However, the child died of burns due to lack of surveillance at that time. The child’s family has brought negligence charges against the nursing home authorities in this incident. The incident sparked widespread tension in the nursing home premises. Family members of the child protested on the hospital premises.

The family of the deceased child has lodged a written complaint against the nursing home at Kotwali police station in Jalpaiguri. They demanded an investigation.
