The devastating earthquakes in Turkey and Syria killed thousands and seriously injured many more. Tibetan spiritual leader Dalai Lama is deeply saddened by this.

The Dalai Lama wrote a letter to the Executive Director of the World Food Program following the devastation in both countries. In this, the Dalai Lama expressed condolences to the people affected by the disaster and expressed grief over the deaths. He wrote that I express my condolences to the families who have lost their loved ones and pray for all those affected by this disaster.

thanks to the countries that helped
The Dalai Lama wrote that he was satisfied to note that in addition to the UN coordinated health teams, non-governmental organizations and many countries around the world are sending aid to the rescue and relief efforts in the earthquake-affected areas. As a symbol of solidarity with the people of Turkey and Syria affected by this disaster, I have asked the Gaden Fodrang Foundation to donate to the rescue and relief efforts.
