Pallavi Patel: In Sirathu seat of Kaushambi district, Dr. Pallavi Patel of SP has defeated BJP leader and Deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya of Uttar Pradesh by 7,337 votes. 41-year-old Pallavi will reach the assembly for the first time.

Pallavi, who entered politics in 2008, was made the national vice president of Apna Dal in 2014. Dr. Asim Kumar: Dr. Asim Kumar of BJP has defeated State President of Congress Ajay Kumar Lallu in Tamkuhiraj seat of Kushinagar. Ajay Lallu, who is winning the Legislative Assembly for two times, came third this time. Dr. Asim Kumar will also reach the assembly after winning for the first time. Bhuvan Kapri: In Uttarakhand, BJP got a thumping victory, but Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami himself lost the election from Khatima seat. Dhami was defeated by Congress youth leader Bhuvan Kapri by 6,579 votes. Kapri is the working president of the Congress party and last time also he gave a tough fight to Dhami, but was left behind by 2707 votes.
Bhuvan Kapri started his political career with Youth Congress. At present, he has the responsibility of working president of the state Congress.
According to the affidavit filed along with the nomination papers, Kapri has total assets of Rs 49.3 lakh, he is also a law graduate. Dhami started politics with Youth Congress. At the same time, after the defeat, Dhami’s CM chair is under threat. Dhami was made the chief minister in place of Tirath Singh Rawat just before the elections.
Dr. Charanjit Singh: In the tsunami of AAP in Punjab, Congress and SAD had to face a crushing defeat. Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi could not save his traditional seat Chamkaur Sahib. Here he was defeated by Dr. Charanjit Singh of AAP by 7,942 votes. Dr. Charanjit Singh is also a famous eye specialist of the area. He has been associated with social service for a long time.
Charanjit Singh, 61, said after the victory that I have been working in the area for 32 years. I exposed Channi’s corruption and people believed in me.
Dr. Charanjit Singh was also in the fray against Channi last time, but lost by nearly 12,000 votes. Dr. Charanjit Singh has reached the assembly by winning for the first time. Chamkaur Sahib is considered a Dalit-dominated seat and Channi was a three-time MLA from here.
Jeevanjot Kaur: Punjab Congress chief Navjot Singh Sindhu has been defeated by AAP’s Jeevanjot Kaur from Amritsar East by a huge margin. Jeevanjit, popularly known as Pad Woman in Punjab, will reach the assembly for the first time. Along with Sidhu, Shiromani Akali Dal’s stalwart Bikram Majithia was also in the fray in Amritsar seat.
Jeevanjot Kaur is associated with a social organization. This organization provides free sanitary pads to the jailed women.
Jeevanjit Kaur, who has studied law, has been doing social service in Punjab for about 25 years. Kaur had joined the Aam Aadmi Party in 2015. The Amritsar seat was considered Sidhu’s stronghold. Sidhu has also been a two-time Lok Sabha MP from Amritsar.
