CPM on the way to debut! The state convention of the party was postponed due to Kovid

Abhishek Banerjee, the All India General Secretary of the Trinamool Congress, had requested to postpone all meetings and processions due to the rise of Corona. The CPM postponed the state conference by walking that path. The party was scheduled to hold a state conference on February 19. However, CPM sources said that the conference will be held at the end of March.

According to CPM sources, the state leadership of the CPM held an important meeting on Wednesday. The meeting decided to hold the 23rd state conference of the party from March 29-31. The conference will be held at Promod Dasgupta Bhavan in Kolkata. However, the district conference will start from January 19. A two-day conference will be held in Malda district from that day. According to CPM sources, the conference is scheduled to be held in Malda in a very large atmosphere where it is possible to hold a conference with a small number of delegates in accordance with the Kovid rules. In the meantime, the CPM has consulted doctors.

It is learned that the second meeting of the CPM’s editorial board is scheduled to be held on January 26. The state conference will be discussed later in that meeting. In that case, the state leadership may decide to postpone the conference again if Covid is on the rise.

However, it is learned that the Kolkata and Howrah district conferences may be held in the second week of February. Besides, South 24 Parganas District Conference is scheduled to be held in the first week of March. The North 24 Parganas District Conference is scheduled for mid-March. All in all, the CPM leadership is insisting on holding the conference in accordance with the Kovid rules.
