Extensive preparations are being made in Uttarakhand for the Chardham Yatra starting from 22nd April. The country’s first electric pilgrimage corridor is being built in the Chardham Yatra route, about 900 kilometers long. Charging points are being made every 30 km for private electric vehicles (EV). Charging point facility will also be available in all the guest houses of the state. The survey of Electric Pilgrimage Corridor has been completed. Space has also been identified for e-vehicle charging stations.

E-Vehicles are being encouraged by reducing the harm to the environment as well. This year online registration has been made compulsory for the Yatris. Taking lessons from the deaths during the last yatra, a team of doctors will be stationed with oxygen at every kilometer on the pedestrian route. For the first time, air ambulance facility is also being started for sick passengers.

More than 4 lakh registrations so far
Registration for the yatra has started from 21st February. Till March 9, more than four lakh registrations have been done. Entry without registration will not be allowed. Last year 55 lakh devotees came to Chardham. Most of them had come to Badrinath Dham. This time more than 80 lakh devotees will participate in the yatra.

Special arrangements this time in Kedarnath
Last year, during the Chardham Yatra, the maximum number of 400 pilgrims died in Kedarnath. This time special medical arrangements have been made. {Every kilometer on the walking route of Kedarnath. But a medical post has been made. A doctor and staff will be deployed in every medical post.

The fare has also increased… The two-way fare of mule from Gaurikund to Kedarnath is Rs.5050. 5500 to Rs. It is done. The rent of a palanquin for two people is also 9 thousand to 10 thousand rupees. It is done. Whereas, the helicopter fare is Rs.7,750. per person.
