Corona cases are increasing rapidly in Maharashtra. With this, another patient of BA.5 variant has been found in the state. According to the information, a 31-year-old woman in Pune was found infected with the BA.5 variant. This is the fourth case of this variant in Pune. Four BA.4 and three BA.5 patients had appeared in Maharashtra on May 28. In this way, so far a total of 8 patients of the new variant have been found infected in the state.
Most cases found in Maharashtra
On Tuesday, Maharashtra had the highest number of 1,881 new patients, 878 patients were cured, not a single death occurred. In Mumbai alone, 1,242 people were found positive. At present 8,432 infected people are undergoing treatment in the state. Here the total positivity is 6.48%, which means 6 out of 100 patients were found positive.
Since the initial days of Corona till now, 7.8 lakh patients have been infected here. At the same time, 7.7 lakh patients were cured, while more than 1 lakh 47 thousand deaths occurred.

On Tuesday, 63 more patients of Corona were found than on Monday. On Monday, 3,651 infected were found. In this way, there was an increase of only 1% in the cases of infection. On Monday, 2,497 patients were cured of corona, while 7 died. The number of active patients in the country at present is 27,020.
