Corona Update: 17,776 new cases in the last 24 hours, even after a steady decrease in corona cases, Kerala is at the forefront

A slight decrease is being seen in the daily corona cases in the country for a few days. On Saturday, 17,776 new cases were registered, while 41 infected people died. Compared to the previous day, 417 cases were found less. But, the number of patients recovering from corona infection has come down. On the last day, 14,260 infected have been cured. Here, the number of active cases i.e. patients undergoing treatment has increased to 1 lakh 27 thousand 068.

Kerala on top amid decreasing number of cases
Talking about the states, Kerala is running on top in terms of new infected. In Saturday’s figures, Kerala has the highest number of 3,186 cases in the country. In 24 hours, Kerala saw a marginal decrease of 4 per cent in new cases. Last day in Kerala, 24 people lost their lives to Corona.

Highest new cases in five states of the country
There are 5 states in the country from where the maximum number of cases are coming. These include Kerala, West Bengal, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, and Karnataka. In West Bengal, there is a slight increase of 1% in newly infected people. In Tamil Nadu, there was a decrease of 2 percent in new cases. At the same time, there was a decrease of 5% in new infections in Karnataka.

Where on Friday, a jump of 10 percent was seen in new cases in Maharashtra. On the other hand, Maharashtra recorded a decrease of 6% on Saturday. But in the statistics of deaths from the initial phase of Corona till now, Maharashtra is leading. In Maharashtra, more than 1 lakh 47 thousand patients have died.
