8 Omicron infected have been confirmed in Madhya Pradesh. All the patients are from Indore. Out of these, 6 have gone to their homes after recovering, while 2 are admitted in the hospital. State Home Minister Narottam Mishra gave this information on Sunday. He told that 26 people were found corona positive in Indore.

Their test samples were sent to Delhi for genome sequencing. Testing of the sample confirmed the Omicron variant. Symptoms of cold and cough have also not been seen in the infected.

At the same time, the first Omicron infected has been confirmed in Himachal Pradesh. The infected woman from Mandi district had returned from Canada. Omicron has also been confirmed among 4 people who returned from abroad in Odisha. Among the infected, 2 had returned from Nigeria, while 2 had returned from Saudi Arabia and the UAE. A total of 474 cases of Omicron have been registered in the country so far.

Night curfew in Karnataka for 10 days from December 28; Decision taken after CM’s meeting

Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai holds a meeting with cabinet ministers and officials in Bengaluru regarding the Omicron variant. Many decisions were taken in this meeting held on Sunday. Health Minister of Karnataka Dr. K. Sudhakar informed that night curfew will be imposed in the state for 10 days from December 28. It will be from 10 pm to 5 am.

Section 144 has also been imposed in the state. At the same time, only 50% of the capacity people have been allowed to be present in places like hotels, pubs and restaurants.

Omicron has a total of 474 cases in the country; Most Omicron infected in Maharashtra and Delhi
The total number of Omicron cases in the country has risen to 474. Maharashtra (108) and Delhi (79) have so far found the highest number of Omicron infected. According to Health Ministry data, 130 patients of Omicron have been cured. At the same time, in the last 24 hours, 6,987 new cases of corona were registered in the country and 162 people died due to corona. The recovery rate of corona patients in the country is 98.40%.

In view of the ever-increasing cases of Omicron in Maharashtra, State Health Minister Rajesh Tope has expressed the apprehension of lockdown. Tope said that the government can impose a lockdown in case the state needs more than 500 metric tonnes of oxygen. The next two weeks are very important for the state. Maharashtra currently has the highest number of Omicron infected in the country. So far 110 cases of Omicron have been found here.

The Maharashtra government has already imposed section 144 in the state from 9 pm to 6 am. Under this, the gathering of more than 5 people in any public place has been banned. However, essential services are exempted from this restriction.
