Punjab Congress has come out in support of former minister Sadhu Singh Dharamsot and Sangat Singh Giljian. Congressmen led by Punjab President Amarinder Singh Raja Vading demonstrated outside the CM Residence in Chandigarh. The AAP government has arrested Sadhu Singh Dharamsot. On the other hand, a case of corruption has been registered against Sangat Singh Giljian. The sword of arrest is hanging on them too. Congress says that the Mann government is taking action under political vendetta. He had come to meet the CM but did not get time. After which the agitated Congressmen started protesting.

Dharamsot eats commission in tree felling
The Punjab Vigilance Bureau claimed that Sadhu Singh Dharamsot consumed the commission for felling trees while he was a minister. He used to take a commission of 500 rupees for a tree. These trees, which were cut on legal permits, were dealt with by the men of Dharamsot. Dharamsot, who was a minister in the Captain Amarinder Singh government, was claimed to have disclosed about 1.25 crore bribery. Dharamsot is currently on remand with the Vigilance Bureau. However, Dharamsot termed these allegations as false.

The Vigilance Bureau claimed that Sangat Singh Giljian, who was the Forest Minister, had cheated more than 6 crores in the tree guard, Giljian became the Forest Minister for 4 months after Charanjit Channi became the CM.

Bajwa said – did not meet even after giving time
